When the NASCAR Cup Series contests the crown jewel Coca-Cola 600 on May 24th, William Byron will have a special patriotic Liberty University paint scheme for the Memorial Day Weekend event.

Liberty University revealed the scheme on Twitter on Tuesday.

The special scheme will honor the fallen United States soldier Sgt. Robert Billings, who was an alumni of Liberty University.

Byron won three races in the recent eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series, which was run during the COVID-19 lockdown of the sport.

Byron, who is still searching for his first real-world NASCAR Cup Series victory, sits 19th in the 2020 point standings, with one top-10 finish after four races.
