It’s been a wonderful start to the weekend for full-time NASCAR Cup Series driver Ryan Preece, who used an impressive crossover move to claim the victory from Ronnie Silk and Justin Bonsignore in the Whelen 100 for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, his first win at the 1.058-mile oval.

The 30-year-old restarted on the inside lane in NASCAR Overtime, falling back to third-place by the exit of turn two, where he would stalk the leaders and set up his opportunity to visit victory lane. Preece then made a mind-blowing crossover move to get to the inside of the top-two drivers, rolling his No. 6 through the final set of corners to claim the victory.

For Preece, the victory marked the first in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour in nearly three years, as well as his 23rd all-time, ranking him ninth on the series’ all-time wins list.
