Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and JTG-Daugherty Racing have been attempting to get himself back into contention to qualify for the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs, scoring three top-20 finishes in the last four events, moving up to 18th in points, 62 back of Chris Buescher for the final position.

However, Sunday’s Toyota / Save Mart 350 wont be of service to the No. 47 team, after a right front tire let go on the Sunny D Chevrolet Camaro, sending Stenhouse into the turn one barrier.

Surprisingly, Stenhouse’s No. 47 was able to continue in the event, only going a single lap down under the caution, in hopes of attempting to salvage a solid finish in the 16th race of the season at Sonoma.
