Kyle Busch is the latest Playoff contender to have troubles in Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas as he spun off Turn 4 on lap 137. Screengrab from USA Network broadcast

Holy Playoff implications, Batman. Kyle Busch, who is rumored to be finalizing a deal with Richard Childress Racing for the 2023 season, has had a rocky 2022 year, despite making it into the Playoffs.

In Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway, Busch saw more frustration as he lost control of his No. 18 M&M’s Toyota Camry off of Turn 4 on lap 137.

Busch went spinning into the infield grass, and cut a right rear tire trying to save the car.

Here is video of Busch’s troubles:

Fortunately, for Busch, he was able to keep his car off any walls, so, he won’t join fellow Playoff contenders Kevin Harvick and Tyler Reddick in the garage. But he’s going to have a very uphill battle if he wants to find a positive result in Sunday’s race.
