For the second day in a row, a major accident has broken out at Darlington Raceway, collecting 10 cars.

Erik Jones and LEGACY MOTOR CLUB will be facing some penalties in the coming week, after losing a right-rear tire at the exit of turn two. However, that’s probably not the biggest of the team’s concerns, right now.

For Jones, the loss of the right-rear wheel sent the two-time Darlington winner spinning at the exit of turn two, spinning directly in front of the second half of the NASCAR Cup Series field, collecting several cars.

A total of 10 cars were involved in the crash triggered by Jones, including his LEGACY MOTOR CLUB teammate Noah Gragson. Additionally, Ty Gibbs, Daniel Suarez, Austin Dillon, Austin Cindric, Todd Gilliland, Michael McDowell, Ryan Newman, and Chris Buescher.

McDowell, Dillon, and Suarez were all forced to retire from the race, as a result of major damage to their entries, which will relegate them to finishes between 33rd and 35th.
