In an up and down race, Ryan Blaney went from starting from the pole, to being a lap down by lap 52. However, Blaney ultimately rebounded for an impressive second-place finish in Wednesday night’s Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway.
However, the 26-year old seemingly lost his cool when he went a lap down at lap 52.
Although, it cannot be absolutely 100-percent confirmed, television footage of Blaney while he was being lapped by his Team Penske teammate Joey Logano sure seems to show Blaney telling Logano that he’s number one. Yeah, as in giving him the bird. You know, flipping him off.
Look closely in Blaney’s windshield during this clip.
As Logano gets along side Blaney, Blaney’s left arm raises up and seems to gesture toward Logano and in slow mow, the No. 12 seems to slightly veer toward the No. 22 car.
Then, after being passed by Logano, which left Blaney on the high side in a position to be passed by John Hunter Nemechek for the free pass position, Blaney uses his right hand this time and appears to shoot the bird toward Logano again.

While this means very little, as the race was in the very early stages, and Blaney had reason to be frustrated with his car fading after starting on the pole. But it’s an interesting nugget to keep an eye on as earlier in the season, Brad Keselowski — another Team Penske driver — took exception with Logano’s driving at Daytona.
