Upper Deck announced a new digital trading card collaboration between NASCAR, 23XI Racing, and the upcoming DC Studios movie ‘Superman’, which will be in theaters nationwide on July 11, on Tuesday morning. This digital collectible will be the first released trading card set featuring 23XI Racing following a partnership, which began in 2024.

As part of the collaboration, Tyler Reddick will pilot a special No. 45 ‘Superman’ / Upper Deck Toyota Camry XSE in the upcoming NASCAR Cup Series event at EchoPark Speedway in Atlanta on Sunday, June 28.

The blue and yellow paint scheme will feature the Superman logo on the hood of the race car. The paint scheme will be featured on a digital trading card, which can be purchased by fans via an Upper Deck e-Pack prior to the event at EchoPark Speedway.

For Upper Deck, this is a unique way to have crossover racing fans and comic book fans combine to collect their interests.

“We’re constantly exploring new ways fans can enjoy and collect their favorite athletes and characters, and what better way to kick off the summer of ‘Superman’ than with an exciting crossover that marries the DC cinematic universe with the world of NASCAR,” said Upper Deck President Jason Masherah. “We continue to expand our footprint in the sports collectibles industry, bringing different sports to the forefront with innovative collecting experiences that fans and collectors can’t find anywhere else. I can’t wait to see how Superman and racing fans react to these first trading cards with the 23XI collectible license in conjunction with NASCAR.”

The digital card is available for purchase now, and this will be the first of two trading card drops featuring the car design on Upper Deck e-Pack, the premier online trading card and collectibles platform. The other drop of the card will take place on race day, June 28.

As a team, 23XI Racing is all about pushing the envelope and finding new ways to deliver interesting ways for their fans to collect items and experiences connected to the organization.

“Our goal at 23XI is always to raise the bar and connect with fans in creative ways, including how they collect and engage with our drivers,” Steve Lauletta, the president of 23XI Racing, said. “Through our relationship with Upper Deck, we continue to deliver unique experiences that fans can cherish forever.”

The Quaker State 400 at EchoPark Speedway is set for Sunday, June 28, and will be the first race of TNT’s five-race slate of NASCAR Cup Series events. That race will be televised on TNT beginning at 7:00 PM ET.
