Tyler Reddick Locks Place in NASCAR All-Star Race With Stage 2 Win in All-Star Open Race

Tyler Reddick secured his place as the 19th driver in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series All-Star Race as he led every lap and won Stage 2 of the NASCAR All-Star Open.

Reddick held off Aric Almirola for the Stage win to secure his spot, and he’ll join Ross Chastain — who locked into the All-Star race by winning Stage 1 — as well as the winner of Stage 3 and the fan vote winner, who will be announced later in the night into the All-Star Race which will run at 8PM ET on Sunday.

While Stage 1 of the race featured three cautions due to on-track incidents, Stage 2 was a green flag affair from start to finish.

Reddick has led an impressive 38 laps between the opening two Stages of the All-Star Open, which could make him as a unique driver to watch to possibly sneak up and take the win in the All-Star Race.
