JJ Yeley will be sporting a beautiful patriotic No. 7 Tommy Baldwin Racing Chevrolet Camaro during Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The entry will be sponsored by Veterans Community Project.

“I am excited to be partnering together with Veterans Community Project for this weekend’s Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway,” said Yeley in a team release. “The Memorial Day weekend is always special at Charlotte Motor Speedway, honoring our fallen service members.”

According to a team release, Veterans Community Project is a Missouri-based non-profit that is dedicated to supporting every man and woman who took the oath for the country.

Military Veteran and Co-Founder and Chief Project Officer of VCP, Brandonn Mixon says his passion for racing started when he was stationed in the hub of NASCAR country.

“I was stationed in North Carolina and that’s where my love of racing began. I actually sold my dirt track car and everything I had for it, to help start Veterans Community Project. Now we have a village of 49 tiny houses for homeless Veterans in Kansas City and we’re expanding to Colorado this year,” explained Mixon. “Seeing the VCP logo on JJ’s car is amazing. Our mission is to do everything we can to have our brothers and sisters’ backs. And if getting the word out in racing helps us support more of them, that’s something we want to do.”

Tommy Baldwin Racing made their return to the Cup Series, after a three-year hiatus, at Darlington last Sunday in The Real Heroes 400.

The TBR car driven by Josh Bilicki started shotgun on the field in 40th and finished 34th.

Yeley, who scored nine top-30 finishes in 15 starts last season, will look to improve upon that finish this weekend.
