J.J. Yeley has proven to be one of NASCAR’s most versatile drivers throughout the years, with this season being no exception for the NASCAR Cup Series veteran. Although Yeley was signed to drive full-time for Rick Ware Racing in 2020, Yeley has hopped around from ride to ride, piloting four race cars for two different race teams six races into the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series schedule.

Sunday’s 600-miler at Charlotte Motor Speedway will prove to be no different, as J.J. Yeley will reunite with old team owner Tommy Baldwin at Charlotte Motor Speedway, to drive the No. 7 Chevrolet Camaro for the recently revived Tommy Baldwin Racing.

Tommy Baldwin Racing has a previous history with driver J.J. Yeley, as the Phoenix, Arizona-native has made 47 previous starts in the NASCAR Cup Series, spanning from 2010 to 2017, a relationship which produced a top-ten finish in the 2013 Daytona 500.

In nine previous Coca-Cola 600 starts, Yeley has a best finish of second, in the 2007 edition of the event, driving the No. 18 for Joe Gibbs Racing. Tommy Baldwin Racing has a best finish of 26th in the event, most recently with Yeley in 2017.

600 miles will prove to be tough for the recently reborn Tommy Baldwin Racing team, as the race will not only be extremely trying on equipment, but will also be trying on the driver and pit crew of the No. 7.
