Rick Ware Racing is taking a big swing as they head into the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season. The organization, which will field four cars at Daytona, has announced that they have added 1999 NASCAR Cup Series champion crew chief Todd Parrott to their roster for 2020.

Parrott will serve as an organizational member of the team, according to a team representative.

Through a career as a crew chief that spanned 24 years, Parrott racked up 31 wins and a championship atop the pit box. Now he will try to lend his hand to an organization that is trying to make an inroad toward being competitive in the NASCAR Cup Series.

Last season, Rick Ware Racing was able to accumulate numerous of sponsorships for their team, they had some of the most unique paint schemes of the year and they didn’t tear up a lot of equipment. The best finish in a race for the team last season, was a 12th-place effort by JJ Yeley at the July Daytona race.
