After being the quickest driver in Friday’s NASCAR Cup Series practice at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Tyler Reddick did the same thing on Saturday, winning the pole for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Reddick earned his eighth NASCAR Cup Series pole with a lap time of 49.469 seconds (181.932mph), posting the quickest time in the second and final round of qualifying from the 2.5-mile speedway. Denny Hamlin was the fastest driver from Group A and therefore will start second.
A trio of Hendrick Motorsports teammates Chase Elliott, William Byron, and Kyle Larson will round out the top five starters for Sunday’s event. Ty Gibbs, Ryan Blaney, Michael McDowell, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., and John Hunter Nemechek will be the top 10 starters.
