Amazing news to report on Wednesday afternoon. Ryan Newman has officially left the Halifax Medical Center following a scary crash in Monday’s Daytona 500.

Roush Fenway Racing made the announcement with a touching photo of Newman walking out of the hospital with his two daughters.

Newman’s recently separated wife, Krissie Newman also posted video of Newman walking with his two daughters out of the hospital.

Newman was extricated from his car after a absolutely stunning last-lap crash while battling for the lead in the Daytona 500.

Upon being removed from the car, Newman was sent straight to Halifax Medical Center where he was listed in Serious condition with non-life threatening injuries.

On Tuesday, Roush Fenway Racing announced in a statement that Newman was awake and talking to family and doctors.

Then, earlier in the day on Wednesday, the team shared a photo of Newman with his two daughters. In the photo, Newman was smiling.

The statement that went along with the photo was that Newman was walking, joking and playing with his daughters at the hospital.

A short time after, Newman was discharged from the hospital.

No word yet on the expected timeline on Newman’s absence from the race track, but at this time it is very great news to see Newman improving so much.
