Ross Chastain and Trackhouse Racing will honor 1999 NASCAR Winston Cup Series champion Dale Jarrett, as the NASCAR Cup Series returns to Darlington Raceway for the track’s ninth annual Throwback Weekend.

Chastain, who drives the No. 1 Chevrolet Camaro, will compete in the Goodyear 400 with a paint scheme designed to match that of Jarrett and Robert Yates Racing in 2001, the first year of the team’s relationship with UPS.

Worldwide Express, the nation’s largest non-retail UPS Authorized Reseller, will serve as the primary sponsor of the No. 1 Chevrolet at Darlington and was behind the idea of honoring Jarrett and his long-time sponsor UPS, which spent more than a decade in NASCAR.

“That was one of my favorite paint schemes growing up and it will be a heck of an honor driving it at Darlington for Throwback Weekend,” said Chastain. “Dale was a great driver and I think a lot of people remember the UPS commercials he did. It should be a fun weekend.”

Jarrett scored four NASCAR Winston Cup Series victories in 2001 – Darlington, Texas, Martinsville, and Loudon – and finished fifth place in final point standings with an average finish of 13.9, alongside 12 top-fives.

The company, which also serves as the full-time sponsor of two entries in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with Niece Motorsports, is honoring Dale Jarrett with a paint scheme on Carson Hocevar’s No. 42 Chevrolet Silverado.
