It may be the NASCAR offseason, but that isn’t stopping Ricky Stenhouse Jr. from keeping the competitive juices flowing. The 33-year old driver competed in Friday night’s USCS Battle at the Beach Finals Preliminary at Southern Raceway in Milton, Florida and he came out victorious.

Stenhouse made a last lap pass, in the 25-lap feature, to take the win over Hayden Campbell.

Derek Hagar, Mark Smith and Connor Loeffler rounded out the top-five finishers in the race.

After finishing third in Heat 3, Stenhouse started the feature event on Friday from the seventh position.

Stenhouse will compete at Southern Raceway in an effort to take the victory in the Battle at the Beach Finals and there is word that he will compete in even more dirt events as the offseason progresses.

The Mississippi-native finished 24th in the year-end NASCAR Cup Series standings in 2020. Stenhouse, who had three top-five finishes and four top-10s this year, had a best finish of second at Talladega in the spring. This was Stenhouse’s first season with JTG Daugherty Racing in the No. 47 machine.
