Ryan Preece will continue his longstanding partnership with Mohawk Northeast – a premier heavy-civil contractor, as the driver moves to RFK Racing and the No. 60 team for the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season.
Mohawk Northeast will serve as a three-race primary sponsorship partner for Preece and the No. 60 Ford Mustang Dark Horse beginning with the August 3 event at Iowa Speedway, continuing in the August 10 race at Watkins Glen International, and finishing up with the September 21 event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
Preece is elated to continue the partnership that he has enjoyed for more than a decade with the company.
“It’s so exciting to have Mohawk with RFK in 2025 to continue building the relationship we’ve had for the past 10-plus years,” said Preece. “They’ve been supporting me since the beginning and I’m looking forward to accomplishing our goals together with their support.”
Preece, 34, has four top-five finishes and 16 top-10s in 187 career starts in the NASCAR Cup Series. Prior to moving the NASCAR Cup Series full-time with JTG Daugherty Racing (now HYAK Motorsports) in 2019, Preece picked up two victories in the NASCAR Xfinity Series driving a part-time schedule for Joe Gibbs Racing.
Preece also picked up a win in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Nashville Superspeedway in 2021, and again in 2022.
At the end of the 2021 season, Preece departed JTG Daugherty Racing, and landed with Stewart-Haas Racing in 2023. However, the timing was not ideal as SHR suffered from a downward spiral in overall performance, and the team eventually closed at the conclusion of the 2024 season.
On November 19, Preece was officially announced as the new driver for a third full-time RFK Racing entry, which would utilize the No. 60, in a deal that brought Kroger along to RFK Racing.
