According to a report from the Tennessean, Speedway Motorsports Inc. submitted a plan to renovate the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on Tuesday.

The $60 million plan would include renovations which would boost the seating capacity of the facility from 15,000 to 30,000.

Also included in the renovations would be an improved concourse, premium style stadium seating, pedestrian tunnels and sound barriers.

This plan is reportedly better than the original plan SMI submitted previously, but there are still issues to resolve with a new MLS stadium that is being built next to the race track.
