Joe Gibbs Racing’s partnership with Progressive Insurance, which began a season ago, will continue into the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season. On Thursday, the team announced that the brand will serve as an 11-race primary sponsorship partner for Denny Hamlin and the No. 11 team this year.

The first race of the partnership for the 2026 season will be at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday, May 3. Among the races that Hamlin will carry the Progressive colors will be the season-finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Sunday, November 8.
Hamlin and Joe Gibbs Racing went all-in on their partnership with Progressive in year one, together, as Hamlin and JGR participated in several Progressive initiatives throughout the 2025 season, including the 13th annual Progressive Keys to Progress event, where they awarded two veterans with keys to Toyota vehicles.
“The Progressive relationship means a lot to our team,” said Hamlin. “They came on board at a point when we really needed help last year, and we were able to deliver great results on the track, and later in the year, we did more stuff with them away from the track. It’s a testament to what our sport can drive as far as value for our sponsors, and we’re excited to have them back on board to continue to build on what we started in 2025.”
Progressive was happy with the impact that its partnership with Hamlin and JGR made in 2025, and they’re excited to see how much further they can develop the partnership moving forward.
“Progressive’s relationship with JGR and Denny Hamlin represents the alignment of performance, trust and innovation and we’re excited and to build off our 2025 successes,” said Mari Pumarejo, Chief Marketing Officer of Progressive. “We share the drive to deliver excellence for fans and communities on and off the track and we look forward to supporting the number 11 team again this year. We can’t wait for Denny to get back on the track and watch him in action.”

The 2026 season will mark Hamlin’s 21st full-time season in the NASCAR Cup Series, and the driver is still seeking his first career NASCAR Cup Series championship. Hamlin came as close as he ever has to winning the title in 2025, as he had control of the championship at Phoenix Raceway until a caution came out with three laps remaining in the race, and shook everything up.
Hamlin endured an emotional offseason, which included a legal battle against NASCAR and the death of his father, Dennis, in a house fire.
In a Wednesday media availability, Hamlin admitted that he is nursing a torn right shoulder, the same shoulder he had medically repaired going into the 2024 season. Hamlin says he tore the shoulder in a fall, while combing through the rubble of the house fire, which claimed the life of his father.
Hamlin will race through discomfort in 2026, and will have surgery to correct the shoulder in the offseason.
