Matt McCall will depart RFK Racing at season’s end, the organization confirmed on Thursday.
The 43-year-old crew chief had spent the last three seasons working closely with Brad Keselowski, as he called the shots for the No. 6 Ford Mustang Dark Horse in the NASCAR Cup Series.
As a result, Keselowski, the 2012 champion of the NASCAR Cup Series and the co-owner of RFK Racing, will have a new crew chief on top of the pit box beginning with next season’s Busch Light Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium.
“We want to thank Matt [McCall] for his dedicated efforts over the last three seasons, his role in the success that we have had and we wish him well in future endeavors,” a statement from RFK Racing, posted to social media, reads.
McCall is a long-time crew chief in the NASCAR Cup Series, having spent seven years calling the shots for the No. 1 Chevrolet at Chip Ganassi Racing — with drivers Jamie McMurray and Kurt Busch.
When Chip Ganassi Racing closed its doors ahead of the 2022 season, McCall moved over to the newly rebranded RFK Racing.
Since beginning their relationship in 2022, McCall and Keselowski have recorded a single victory together, winning the Spring event at Darlington Raceway earlier this season.
In three seasons working together, McCall and the No. 6 Ford Mustang managed to collect 17 top-fives and 36 top-10s. This season, on the strength of nine top-fives and 14 top-10s, Keselowski and McCall sit 13th in points.
Further announcements regarding personnel arrangements on the No. 6 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series campaign will come at a later date.

Jeremy Bullins was recently let go from the 21 car. Brad and he had 5 wins together in 2 years. Would not be surprised if that’s where they went.
