Kyle Larson Goes Wire-to-Wire for Second Straight Knoxville Nationals Victory

Kyle Larson Knoxville Nationals 2024

Every single year, NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson’s already mind-blowing resume continues to get longer and longer, as the Elk Grove, California native continues to collect trophies from several prestigious events.

In Saturday’s Knoxville Nationals, Larson pulled off something he has become accustomed to throughout his career — dominating.

The 32-year-old driver dominated the A-Main Feature of the 63rd Annual NOS Energy Drink Knoxville Nationals, leading wire-to-wire on the way to his second consecutive victory in the prestigious Sprint Car event.

Larson started the 50-lap feature from the pole on Saturday, and throughout multiple stoppages and subsequent restarts, managed to hold off the hungry pack behind him, putting his No. 57 Silva Motorsports back in Victory Lane.

A pair of ARCA Menards Series drivers — one former and one present — joined Larson on the podium in the prestigious event, with Giovanni Scelzi finishing runner-up, and HendrickCars.com prospect Corey Day finishing in third place.

Carson Macedo and Anthony Macri completed the top five with Brian Brown, Tyler Courtney, Scott Bogucki, Sheldon Haudenschild, and Jacob Allen rounding out the top-10.

In winning back-to-back events, Larson joins Kenny Weld, Eddie Leavitt, Doug Wolfgang, Steve Kinser, Mark Kinser, Danny Lasoski, and Donny Schatz as the eight drivers who have managed to win the Knoxville Nationals in back-to-back seasons.

Larson has now won the prestigious event in three of the last four years, all while driving for Silva Motorsports.

Now, after what is destined to be a late-night celebration with his Silva Motorsports team, Larson will have to fly back to Richmond, Virginia to compete in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Cook Out 400 at Richmond Raceway.

Larson will start the 400-lap contest from 15th in his No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet.
