Noah Gragson and LEGACY MOTOR CLUB have had multiple failures in pre-race inspection for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Crayon 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, which will impact the race day effort for the rookie driver.

According to NASCAR, the No. 42 LEGACY MOTOR CLUB Chevrolet Camaro will have its head engineer – the identity of which was not disclosed – ejected from New Hampshire Motor Speedway, while also losing pit selection for Sunday’s event.

The 25-year-old was the 30th-quickest driver in NASCAR Cup Series practice on Saturday, but no matter the qualifying effort in the subsequent single-car qualifying session, the Las Vegas, Nevada will be the last team to pick his pit stall.

Entering this weekend’s event at New Hampshire, Gragson sits 33rd in NASCAR Cup Series point standings, after missing a single race at Sonoma, due to concussion-like symptoms from a crash at WWT Raceway.

Throughout the year, Gragson has scored a pair of top-20 finishes, including a 12th-place result at Atlanta Motor Speedway earlier this season. The next weekend at Circuit of The Americas, Gragson would record his second top-20 of 2023.

None of the other 35 cars entered for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway had issues in pre-race inspection, getting cleared on either their first of second time through.
