Long-time NASCAR team owner Felix Sabates has been inducted into the North Carolina Business Hall of Fame.

Sabates, according to a social media post from Chip Ganassi Racing, was presented by the Junior Achievement of Central Carolinas.

The 74-year old was inducted based on the grounds of his long standing work in the City of Charlotte through his auto dealership as well as his race teams over the years.

Sabates was a seven-time winner as a car owner of his own team SABCO Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series from 1989 to 2000. Since 2001, Sabates has been a partner of Chip Ganassi’s NASCAR organization.

This season, both of Chip Ganassi Racing’s drivers — Kurt Busch and Kyle Larson — won races and made the NASCAR Playoffs.
