After Mother Nature made ‘Speedweeks’ at Daytona feel like ‘Speedmonths’, the NASCAR Cup Series is set to move forward with its second points-paying weekend of 2024.
In the midst of a Monday doubleheader at Daytona, NASCAR released the preliminary entry list for the 2024 Ambetter Health 400, the second race of the year for the NASCAR Cup Series, set to take place on Sunday, February 25 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia.
With just 37 entries shown on the preliminary list, for 40 available spots, each one of the teams that arrive at the 1.5-mile superspeedway-like facility will get to take the green for Sunday’s 400-mile contest.
William Byron, who scored the victory in Monday’s Daytona 500 for Hendrick Motorsports, will return to Atlanta Motor Speedway, a facility he’s won on before, looking to continue his run of momentum and collect back-to-back NASCAR Cup Series victories for the second time in his career, driving the No. 24 Raptor High Heat Chevrolet.
Notable entries for the event include Kaz Grala (#15, Rick Ware Racing), Josh Williams (#16, Kaulig Racing), and BJ McLeod (#78, Live Fast Motorsports).
