Todd Gilliland and the No. 38 Front Row Motorsports team will have a familiar partner on their Ford Mustang during this weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Sonoma Raceway. Chicago Pneumatic, which will return to the organization for a third season in a row, will also adorn the No. 38 machine at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
Chicago Pneumatic chose to return as a partner because they have a love for NASCAR and they have gelled well with Front Row Motorsports.
“We are thrilled to be returning to FRM this year at both Sonoma and New Hampshire,” said Maggie Rogers, Communications and Branding Marketing Manager for Chicago Pneumatic Compressors in a team release. “We love being a part of NASCAR, Front Row Motorsports and now Todd Gilliland’s rookie Cup Series season. Everyone at Chicago Pneumatic will be watching and cheering on Todd and the team this weekend.”
For Gilliland, it’s an awesome feeling to be working so closely with a company like Chicago Pneumatic that is instrumental to his race team.
“It’s cool to have Chicago Pneumatic Compressors come back to the team this season,” stated Gilliland. “I walk past their compressors in the shop every day and they are a huge part of keeping us moving forward. I am excited to carry the red and black paint scheme into this weekend at Sonoma.”

Big Weekend for the Gilliland Family
Sonoma Raceway is extremely special to Gilliland, 22, as his grandfather Butch Gilliland scored two victories at the road course in wine country back in the NASCAR Winston West Series. The patriarch of the Gilliland racing family was the Winston West champion back in 1997.
Butch Gilliland was inducted into the West Coast Stock Car Hall of Fame back in 2012. This weekend, Todd Gilliland’s father David Gilliland will receive the same honor.
Needless to say, it’ll be a big weekend for the Gilliland family.
“This will be a huge week and weekend for our family,” Gilliland explained. “Just a lot of family and friends out in California who will see my dad enter the hall of fame and taking some time to see the sights of Napa Valley. It is going to be a fun week and now we have a great partner on the car to share it with. I am looking forward to it.”
15 races into his NASCAR Cup Series rookie campaign, Todd Gilliland is starting to find some real consistency. The young driver scored his career-best NCS finish of 15th at Darlington a few races ago. Gilliland also scored a 16th-place finish in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Gilliland currently holds down the 29th spot in the NASCAR Cup Series driver standings.
