Chase Elliott, a seven-time winner of NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver Award, is set to bring a special paint scheme to Texas Motor Speedway this weekend, commemorating the 100th anniversary of NAPA Auto Parts.

The Dawsonville, Georgia-native will have his No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet decked out in a one-of-a-kind paint scheme, which features a healthy dose of champagne gold, guaranteed to turn heads and garner attention from fans in the grandstands and watching on television.

The NAPA Auto Parts brand has served as a long-time sponsor of NASCAR National Series competition, beginning in the late 1970s when Janet Guthrie drove the NAPA / Regal Ride Shocks entry in the 1976 World 600. Throughout the years, the company has backed the likes of Buddy Baker, Jimmy Means, Michael Waltrip, Martin Truex, Jr., and now, Chase Elliott.

The company also serves as a primary sponsor of McAnally-Hilgemann Racing and Daniel Hemric in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Brad Sweet in his sprint car racing program, and NHRA Funny Car racer Ron Capps.

NAPA was at the forefront of a transportation revolution when it was founded in 1925, paving the way for the automotive aftermarket. The quick adoption of the automobile sector meant that people across the United States needed repair shops to maintain their cars, and NAPA stepped up to fill that void. Now, as the automotive industry continues to develop a century later, NAPA is still leading the way by embracing new technologies and advancements to keep drivers on the road.

Elliott is the defending NASCAR Cup Series winner at Texas Motor Speedway, which also coincides with his most-recent win at NASCARs top-level. The 29-year-old driver will look to go back-to-back at the Fort Worth, Texas, racetrack with a special paint scheme honoring the illustrious history of NAPA Auto Parts.

The Würth 400 Presented by LIQUID MOLI will take place on Sunday, May 4 at 3:30 PM ET on FOX Sports 1, PRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.

Daniel Hemric, driver of the No. 19 McAnally-Hilgemann Racing Chevrolet Silverado RST in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, will also join in on the 100th anniversary celebrations at Texas.

Hemric, who captured his first career victory earlier this season at Martinsville, will also carry the champagne gold design on his No. 19 Chevrolet in the SpeedyCash.com 250 at Texas Motor Speedway.

“I’ve said all along that this is an honor for me to drive for NAPA, especially in their 100th anniversary,” Hemric said. “It’s really cool to join the other three NAPA teams with matching schemes, and hopefully, a couple of us can get to victory lane with them.”

NAPA’s involvement in NASCAR, and motorsports in general, has lasted multiple decades, including 35 years with team owner Bill McAnally.

“We’ve been involved in a lot of great events and milestones over the years, but to be a part of NAPA’s 100th anniversary is extra special,” McAnally said. “To be a part of this program for over 35 years is humbling, and this paint scheme is a celebration and testament to the many talented and innovative people who have been a part of the NAPA Network.”

Hemric and the MHR team will feature the unique gold paint scheme on Friday, May 2nd at 8:00 p.m. ET at TMS, live on FOX Sports 1.
