Team AmeriVet will once again compete in the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium as Burt Myers, a local track hero, will reprise his role behind the wheel of the team’s No. 50 Chevrolet for the event.

Myers will be paired with crew chief Tony Eury Jr., who brings a wealth of experience to the track for the No. 50 organization.

“Bowman Gray is a place where experience and discipline matter, Eury said in a press release. “Burt knows this track as well as anyone, and our focus is on giving him a car that can stay in the fight all night.”

TobyChristie.com has confirmed that while Team AmeriVet will compete at Bowman Gray, the team will not attempt next month’s Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway.

According to a press release from the team on Tuesday, Myers will be supported by Tibbetts Lumber, C3, Chevrolet, ForgiveCo, AmeriVet Securities, The Casey Caudill Foundation, Citrusafer Cleaners, and ECR Engines at Bowman Gray Stadium.

“We’re proud to return to Bowman Gray with Burt and Tony Jr., alongside partners who believe in us on and off the track,” team owner Rebecca Auchmoody said.

In addition to competing part-time in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2026, Team AmeriVet will continue its charitable contributions off the track. The team will resume its “50 Vets a Week powered by ForgiveCo” program. The event will erase $250,000 in veteran debt. In 2025, the team was able to wipe out more than $1 million in veteran debt.

“We’re extremely excited to be heading into the Cook Out Clash and to be working alongside a proven competitor like Burt Myers,” said Casey Caudill, co-owner of Team AmeriVet and founder of The Casey Caudill Foundation. “Events like this represent everything we love about racing. Hard competition, passionate fans, and the opportunity to showcase what our team is building both on and off the track. We’re proud of the momentum Team AmeriVet has right now, and we’re looking forward to a strong showing while continuing to use our platform to give back through the Foundation.”

Last year, Myers failed to lock the No. 50 Chevrolet into the field for the 23-car starting field of the Cook Out Clash. He’ll look to change his fortunes this time around.
