It’s been a nightmare start to the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series campaign for Brad Keselowski, and in Sunday’s AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway, the nightmare only got worse.

The Rochester Hills, Michigan-native was having a solid performance throughout the afternoon at the mile-and-a-half racetrack, climbing through the pack and getting his No. 6 Allegra Ford Mustang Dark Horse into the top-10.

During the race’s final stage, though, Keselowski and crew chief Jeremy Bullins made some significant improvements on the RFK Racing machine, allowing the 2012 NASCAR Cup Series champion to climb as high as second place.

With Keselowski in position to contend for the victory, and quickly reeling in race-leader Chase Elliott, the fantastic afternoon went up in smoke quickly, with a right-rear tire popping entering the first corner, sending the No. 6 Ford into the outside wall.

Unfortunately for Keselowski, who entered the afternoon sitting outside the top-30 in NASCAR Cup Series points, the damage to the vehicle was too severe for the No. 6 to continue, sending him to the garage and out of the race, destined to finish 37th.

This isn’t even the first time this weekend that Keselowski has had issues with the tires on his No. 6 Ford Mustang Dark Horse. In practice, Keselowski was one of the first drivers to have issues with tires in practice on Saturday, which caused his session to be cut short and required him to start at the rear.
