Pre-race inspection for Wednesday’s Toyota 500 NASCAR Cup Series Race at Darlington Raceway went relatively smooth for the big names in the sport, but B.J. McLeod and Corey LaJoie will have to start from the rear after their cars failed inspection multiple times.

LaJoie’s No. 32 car passed tech on its third trip, so he will just have to drop to the rear before the start of the event.

LaJoie was slated to start from the 31st-position.

McLeod, who is competing in his second Cup Series race with his BJ McLeod Motorsports team, failed three times and will have to drop to the rear of the field and do a drive through penalty at the start of the race.

McLeod was scheduled to start from the 38th position, so dropping to the rear won’t affect him much, but the drive through penalty will definitely put him a lap off the pace to start things.

The No. 27 team and No. 77 team will also move to the rear after changing drivers in their cars.

Gray Gaulding takes over the No. 27 this race, which was driven by JJ Yeley on Sunday at Darlington. Yeley moves to the No. 77, which was driven by Reed Sorenson on Sunday.
