Ty Dillon will have a new spotter in 2020 as Chris Monez will move to Germain Racing’s No. 13 team. The team made the announcement Thursday through a statement on Social Media.

The spotter is chomping at the bit to get started with his new driver and team.

“I am really excited to get to Daytona with Ty and the whole No. 13 Germain Racing team,” Monez said to TobyChristie.com in a message. “Germain has rock solid group of smart racers with a great reputation in the Cup garage that I am looking forward to being a small part of.”

Monez served as the spotter for Matt Tifft on the No. 36 Front Row Motorsports team last season.

In 2019, with Billy O’Dea spotting Dillon scored his first-two career Stage wins at Bristol and Talladega in the spring. He also scored a career-best finish of fourth at Daytona in July and he had a career-high three top-10 finishes last year.

Dillon will look to improve on a career-year with a new voice in his ear in 2020.
