The Gander RV 400 at Dover International Speedway may or may not run on Sunday with crazy persistent rains, but when the race does finally get underway four drivers will head to the rear of the field.

Alex Bowman, Martin Truex Jr., Ryan Preece and Matt Tifft all have failed pre-race inspection and will have to drop to the rear before the Cup Series race at Dover.

Bowman was slated to start fifth, Truex had qualified 13th, Preece had the 29th starting spot and Tifft was set to roll from 32nd-place.

Preece failed inspection twice, so as a result his car chief has been sent home for the weekend.

Tifft’s No. 36 car failed three times, which means he has lost his race engineer for the weekend and he will also get a pass through penalty when the race goes green.
