Bayley Currey – a full-time competitor in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for Mike Harmon Racing — will make his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start of the year in Saturday’s Wise Power 200 at Kansas Speedway.
The 24-year-old will pilot the No. 45 Sharkys Pub & Grill Chevrolet Silverado for Niece Motorsports in the series’ seventh event of the season, a seat which was left in limbo by 2018 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Champion, Brett Moffitt, after deciding to start earning points in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
For Currey, Saturday’s 200-mile event marks the seventh for Niece Motorsports, the organization in which he clinched his career-best finish of sixth at Michigan International Speedway in 2019. The Driftwood, Texas-native’s six-race tenure with the organization includes three top-15s and four top-20 finishes.
The full-time NASCAR Xfinity Series driver has made six prior starts at the 1.5-mile facility, recording a best result of 18th-place with Mike Harmon Racing last season.
