After a late-race crash between D.L. Wilson, Christian Rose, and Toni Breidinger in Friday’s ARCA Menards Series event at Phoenix Raceway, Wilson was transported to a local hospital. On Saturday afternoon, Wilson’s Fast Track Racing Enterprises team provided an update on the driver’s condition.

According to Fast Track Racing’s Facebook page, D.L. Wilson was “evaluated for a Concussion, Broken Ribs, and Damage to the Sternum. He is in good spirits and his wife is by his side.”

Wilson, according to the team, is in good spirits though, and is with his wife.

The wreck occurred with three laps to go and was triggered by contact between Leland Honeyman and Breidinger. The contact sent Breidinger’s No. 55 car into the Turn 3 wall. Rose and Wilson tangled behind the initial wreck.

Wilson, 58, has competed in a total of 30 ARCA Menards Series events over the course of his racing career. Wilson made his series debut in 2018, and finished sixth in the overall series point standings back in 2021.

Wilson has one career top-10 finish, a 10th-place effort, which came on the dirt at Springfield in 2021.

The Texas native has competed in more than a dozen ARCA Menards Series events in each of the last two seasons after three seasons of running a couple of one-off races.
