The ARCA Menards Series sanctioning body released the penalty report following Saturday’s season-opening race, the Ride the ‘Dente 200 at Daytona International Speedway, on Thursday afternoon.
Three crew chiefs have been penalized for violating sections 20C-2.1B and 20C-3.1.1 of the ARCA Menards Series rule book, which pertains to illegally tampering with the body of the car and with the rear spoiler.
Adam Murphy, the crew chief of the No. 27 Tim Richmond Motorsports entry, Shannon Rursch, the crew chief of the No. 25 Venturini Motorsports entry, and Nick Tucker, the crew chief of the No. 46 Nitro Motorsports entry have all been fined $2,500, and placed on probation for the remainder of the 2025 ARCA Menards Series season.
These penalties won’t affect driver’s and owner’s points regarding the 2025 ARCA Menards Series championship standings.
Among the three teams penalized, the No. 25 Venturini Motorsports entry secured the best finish at Daytona, as Jake Finch was credited with a 15th-place finish in the Ride the ‘Dente 200.
Richmond recorded a 17th-place finish in the chaotic season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway after his race came to an end due to a mechanical failure after completing 64 laps, and the No. 46 Nitro Motorsports entry driven by Thad Moffitt finished a disappointing 37th after being swept up in a massive crash on Lap 4.
