ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Colton Herta backed up his second place qualifying effort Saturday afternoon with the fastest time in Sunday morning warmup ahead of the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.

The No. 26 Andretti Autosport Honda went around the 14-turn, 1.8-mile street circuit in 1 minute, 0.5886 seconds to average 106.951 mph. Behind Herta was Andretti Autosport teammate Kyle Kirkwood who will start fifth.

Scott Dixon, Helio Castroneves and Callum Ilott rounded out the top five in the 30 minute session.

No drivers caused a red flag for wall contact but there were many drivers that had small wall brushes or spins into the runoff from brake lockups.

The 100-lap race will air live on NBC with the broadcast starting at noon ET. The race will begin a half hour later.
