Cody Dennison’s debut with his new team, CW Motorsports, didn’t go so hot last night at Iowa Speedway. Now, a day later it seems that the waters between him and Kris Wright are still yet to settle.

With 28 laps to go in the Atlas 150 at Iowa Speedway, contact between Dennison’s No. 93 machine and Wright’s No. 15 Toyota Camry sent both cars into the turn one wall, ending their night early. At the time, Wright was fourth, while Dennison was 14th four laps off the leader’s pace.

“The 2 and I, we split lap traffic coming out of four, and I’d been doing it all night with a bunch of guys and put myself in a bad position there getting down into one. Just had a car come down and end up in front of me. Really stupid mistake on my part,” Wright said in his interview on FS1.

Meanwhile, Dennison spoke to Kaleb Vestal of Speedway Digest. Giving a more heated comment.

“I don’t even know what he (Wright) looks like. He’s always running, hiding somewhere cause he’s out of his car. He’s never made it to the end of the race so I’ve never seen what he looks like,” he said in the interview.

Post-race, the CW Motorsports driver continued on X.

“The @TimCast machine was getting faster. Then out of nowhere. A guy known for wrecking every week plowed into me and killed us both. I’m okay. On to Mid Ohio.”

Not to be left out of the debate, Kevin Wright, brother to VMS driver Kris, also chimed in on social media.

“Wasn’t gonna say anything but the guy who can’t even run within 3 seconds of the leaders wants to act all big & cool when in reality, he’s the driver that shouldn’t be on the track. 7 laps down. You weren’t even racing the same race,” part of the post read.

CW Motorsports owner and driver Caleb Costner also joined into the conversation after Kevin spoke up saying “If you and Kris Wright would like to make things right with me after junking my car last night, I’d be very appreciative and open to having a conversation of making that happen.”

The conversation continued with Kevin replying “It’s racing. No one is coming to the rescue.”

“Sad. Unfortunately, expected nothing less than your response,” Costner rebutted with.
