Fan favorite and Buffalo native Andy Jankowiak will continue his relationship with Whelen Engineering for the upcoming 2023 season.

The announcement comes as Jankowiak and his no. 73 ARCA Menards Series car become part of KLAS Motorsports with team owners Andy Seuss and Kevin Lapierre. The partnership between all three begins at the ARCA Series season opener at Daytona on February 18th.

Lapierre is the owner of ‘Dak’s Markert’ and has been a supporter and sponsor for Jankowiak and his team over the past several years. He and Seuss will take over and assume ownership of the team.

“Kevin has been a huge supporter of our efforts since very early on in our ARCA racing efforts and supplied our race team with two cars last season,” Jankowiak said. “Having Andy Seuss working with us full-time will give us a huge advantage from where we were last year. Andy’s involvement and Kevin’s ability to handle so many of the leadership roles on the team allows me to take a step back and focus more on my role as the driver.”

Seuss will also take on the team manager role. This will be his first full-time year with the team.

Jankowiak is coming off a career-best ARCA Menards series finish at Daytona sixth in 2022. The team is hopeful after setting the sixth fastest time overall in 2023 preseason practice.

“We were thrilled with how testing went, and it was a wonderful way to unveil our new team and showcase the Whelen Engineering company,” Jankowiak added.

Whelen, the Official Warning Light of NASCAR, will be with the team at Talladega, Kansas, Charlotte, Pocono, and Watkins Glen.
