When it comes to the ARCA Menards Series, there are no drivers and teams hitting their stride better than Joe Gibbs Racing and 18-year-old Ty Gibbs, as the pairing dominated Friday’s Dawn 150 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, his fourth consecutive victory in the series and his fifth of the season.

With his victory at Mid-Ohio, Gibbs becomes the first driver in the ARCA Menards Series to win four consecutive races, since Chase Briscoe won at Winchester, Iowa, IRP and Pocono in the Summer of 2016, driving for Chad Bryant Racing.

Gibbs led 35 of the event’s 42 laps, with Brandon Jones leading four and Corey Heim leading three laps, before he was penalized for jumping the final restart of the afternoon on Lap 26. After serving his pass-through penalty, Heim was penalized for speeding on pit road, requiring the series points leader to return to the pit area.

Austin Hill – in a one-off event for Hattori Racing Enterprises — finished in the runner-up position, with Thad Moffitt, Brandon Jones and Nick Sanchez rounding out the top-five finishers. Stanton Barrett, Corey Heim, Kris Wright, Amout Kok and Kyle Sieg rounded out the top-10.

Russ Lane, Drew Dollar, Tim Richmond, Owen Smith, Tony Cosentino, Brad Smith and Mark Green rounded out the 17-car field for the event, with drivers outisde the top-10 finishing a number of laps down.
