Kyle Busch Motorsports, the championship winning NASCAR Camping World Truck Series organization, will field a full-time ARCA Menards Series entry for the 2022 season.

The 17-year-old defending ARCA Menards Series East champion Sammy Smith will compete in the majority of the races for the team, with TMC Transportation as a primary partner. Smith scored three wins, as well as 396 laps led in his title winning season a year ago.

As for KBM, this will be the first time in team history they will field an ARCA Menards Series entry. The organization currently holds the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series record for most owner championships (seven).

“We’re looking forward to having an expanded role within the Toyota Racing Development program in 2022 and being reunited with Sammy,” team owner Kyle Busch said in a release. “He was able to win multiple races and a championship in the East Series last year and we’re confident that he’ll be able to continue his winning ways this year.”

Smith’s first race in the No. 18 KBM entry will come on February 15th in the ARCA Menards Series East at New Smyrna Speedway and will run all the races he is allowed to due to his age.

The rest of the KBM ARCA driver lineup will be announced at a later date.
