Kaylee Bryson Set For Stock Car Debut at Sonoma

Cook Racing Technologies has announced that Kaylee Bryson, a standout in dirt and sports car racing, will make her debut in the ARCA Menards Series West this weekend at Sonoma Raceway. She will be driving the No. 17 Chevrolet SS for Cook Racing Technologies.

Bryson, now 24 years old, is best known for her achievements in dirt racing. In 2022, she made history as the first female driver to qualify for the A-Main at the Chili Bowl Nationals. She has qualified for the Chili Bowl Nationals with her best finish being 18th place.

Bryson became the first woman to win a race in the USAC National Series when she claimed victory at the Belleville High Banks in Silver Crown competition.

The Muskogee, Oklahoma, native has also made 12 starts in the Trans-Am Series SGT Class, claiming her first victory in 2024 at Virginia International Raceway with Sam Pierce Racing, and becoming only the second female to win the championship in series history.

In 2025, Bryson has advanced to the XGT class of Trans-Am. She has excelled so far, winning her first race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on June 21, and sits as the points leader.

“We’re going racing at Sonoma!” Bryson said on social media. “So excited to make my NASCAR debut in the #17 Chevrolet Cook Racing Technologies ARCA car this weekend!”

Bryson will bring her expertise in road racing to the table, as she will contest amongst the other 25 drivers in the field throughout 50 laps of rugged racing in “Wine Country” around the technical 12-turn road course.

The General Tire 200 at Sonoma Raceway will air live at 6:30 p.m. ET on Friday, July 11, on FloRacing, The NASCAR Channel on Tubi, with radio coverage provided by ARCARacing.com.
