The list of drivers testing for Mullins Racing at Daytona in January continues to grow as 21-year-old Kayla Surles will be testing with the ARCA Menards Series team.

The Fredericksburg, Virginia driver had a strong showing at her local short track of Dominion Raceway in 2022, as she picked up six wins and a second place in the modified points.

Surles also has a history with Mullins Racing, being an employee at Bugsy’s Repair owned by Willie and Dinah Mullins. The team shared video on Twitter of Surles working a mechanic on November 21st.

“I’ll go anywhere from helping to sand the trucks and helping the painters get those ready to paint, to mechanics and welding and all that,” Surles said in a Mullins Racing press release.

Willie Mullins, who recently sat down on the show ‘Off The Record’ talked about the Daytona test and their plans for drivers. Currently, Surles will be joined by Landon Huffman, the 2022 Hickory Motor Speedway Track Champion, in the upcoming ARCA test at Daytona.
