It didn’t look like anyone would be able to stop Ty Gibbs and Joe Gibbs Racing from claiming their fifth straight victory in the ARCA Menards Series, but in the end, it was “King of The Big Tracks”, Corey Heim, who took home his third victory of the season and the fourth of his career.

Heim first took over the lead on a late-race restart with 18 laps to go, when Gibbs threw a block to the bottom of the track on Heim’s teammate Chandler Smith, causing the No. 25 Safelite Toyota Camry to make a phenominal save. Meanwhile, Heim scooted away to the lead and never looked back, defeating the No. 18 Pristine Auctions Toyota Camry by 3.155 seconds.

Gibbs – who led a race-high 33 laps — finished in the runner-up position, with Drew Dollar, Nick Sanchez and Thad Moffitt rounding out the top-five. Kyle Sieg, Andy Jankowiak, Jade Buford, Sean Corr and Ryan Huff rounded out the top-10.

Chandler Smith – who led 22 of 80 laps in Friday’s event — was relegated to a 12th-place finish, after the Venturini Motorsports team called him to pit road after a wild save on the race’s final restart.

Exiting Pocono, Corey Heim extends his points lead to three points over Ty Gibbs, as the series continues on to Elko on July 10th.
