As we roll into the new year, we’re just a few days away from the start of pre-season testing with the ARCA Menards Series, and one of the fan favorites in the series has a ride for the season-opener.

Brayton ‘The Pizza Man’ Laster is teaming up with TC Motorsports and owner Justin Carroll for the season opener at Daytona International Speedway for the ARCA Menards Series.

“Originally we had no intention of running Daytona this year or had any plans lined up. We talked to a couple of teams here and there just to see what was available throughout the season. We ended up getting connected with TC, and next thing you know we have a deal to run Daytona,” Laster said on the deal.

He will also pilot the team’s No. 91 Toyota Camry for the upcoming Daytona Test for the ARCA Menards Series as well along with Justin Carroll

The 21-year-old will improve his best finish at the speedway of 13th back in 2022 with Mullins Racing, marking his third straight start at the superspeedway.

The Greenwood, IN native, is also looking to continue his run of good luck from last season, capping off 2023 with three top-ten finishes at Springfield, DuQuoin, and Salem Speedway, all with the No. 31 and Rise Motorsports.

“Three years ago, I never thought there would be a remote possibility I would even be competing at anywhere near this level,” said Laster. “Now we’re getting ready to go down there for our third time in a row, we’ve gained a lot of experience these past couple of years, and now we are ready to put it all together with a new team,” he added.

Laster adds that his goals for this year’s race are simple. “We just wanna bring the car home in one piece though, and shoot for a top ten, especially after ending last season with 3 in a row.”

TC Motorsports, or Terry Carroll Motorsports, has made 27 starts across the ARCA platform from 2015 to 2022. The team’s best finish was a second-place finish at Southern National Motorsports Park in the ARCA Menard Series East in 2018. The 2023 season opener will be TC Motorsports’ first attempt at superspeedway racing in the ARCA Menards Series. The team has also made four starts in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, all last season.

Partners and sponsors will be announced at a later date, but Laster says fans can reach out on Laster’s “Mom & Pop Shop Sponsorship Deal” to get a decal on the car. You can catch Brayton’s debut with TC Motorsports at the 2024 ARCA Menards Series season opener at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 17th at 1:30 PM EST, live on Fox Sports 1.
