Extra track time? Accomplished. The victory? Secured. It was a fun Friday for Brandon Jones to say the least, as he swept both the pole and the race win in the General Tire 150 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

This marks Jones’ first ARCA win since he last won at this very track back in 2018.

The Xfinity Series veteran made a veteran-type move to secure the win, getting around his Toyota teammate Corey Heim with 30 to go and never looking back.

The action started early with a caution just four laps into the race that involved THREE different incidents on the track.

One being Daniel Dye and Drew Dollar tangling in the tri-oval, resulting in the end of Dollar’s day. Josh White – driving for Alex Clubb — hit the wall in turn four, all of this happening while Parker Chase’s cockpit was on fire.

The chaos didn’t stop there…

Bryan Dauzat managed to lose control of his race car under yellow flag conditions on lap 25, slamming into the already damaged No. 43 car.

Through all the chaos, the Toyota’s were able to avoid trouble this weekend for the most part. A one-two finish is what the manufacturer needed after a disastrous outing at Kansas.

Rajah Caruth brought it home third with a hefty amount of laps led on his resume, strong momentum to build on.

Connor Mosack rallied to a fourth place finish, while Greg Van Alst was able to score a top-five finish for his organization.

Daniel Dye, Amber Balcean, Nick Sanchez, Tony Cosentino, and Sean Corr rounded out the rest of the top-ten finishers.

The ARCA Menards Series now looks ahead to Iowa Speedway on June 11th, the next event on the schedule, in a combination event with the ARCA Menards Series East.
