Daniel Escoto will run the ARCA Menards Series East event at Five Flags Speedway on March 19th and Escoto will run the remainder of the 2022 ARCA Menards Series East schedule for Josh Williams Motorsports in a partnership with Lira Motorsports.

The 22-year old was scheduled to run the season-opener at New Smyrna, until Logan Misuraca filled in when Escoto was hit with a last-minute illness.

Escoto, has two starts in the Mikel’s Truck Series, a developmental series in Mexico, which drivers use as a ladder to the NASCAR International Series ranks. He also made two starts in the NASCAR Mexico Challenge Series in 2021, the Mexico-equivalent to the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

The young racer, who hails from Mexico, is excited to give his home country representation in the United States as he continues working his way up the racing ladder towards his ultimate goal of being a NASCAR National Series racer.

“I’m excited to bring the Mexico NASCAR side over to America,” Escoto said to TobyChristie.com. “I love my country very much.”

Prior to his starts in stock car-style cars, Escoto was the 2019 Fórmula México champion, scoring two wins and 10 podium finishes in 12 starts that season.
