Brenden “Butterbean” Queen will be enjoying his trip to Waffle House, as he held off a late race charge from NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series standout Corey Heim to score his third victory in the Henry Ford Health 200 at Michigan International Speedway.

Queen had quite the stellar Friday evening; he was the quickest in practice and qualifying, and he led the most laps on the night, with 65 laps total, to secure the victory.

Despite not leading a single lap throughout the 100-lap duel, Heim, running in substitution for Jake Finch, who had suffered an illness before the race, gave Queen a run for his money all evening long, remaining in the tire tracks of the No. 28 BRC Chevrolet SS.

After Queen led the opening 42 laps of the event, Heim’s fellow Truck Series and Sunoco rookie contender, Gio Ruggiero, who was making his first of two starts in the No. 18 Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing, found his way to the front of the field on the restart after the first caution of the day.

As the second and final caution period of the day came to an end, Queen and Ruggiero fought hard for the race lead. Queen fired off better on the restart and wouldn’t relinquish the lead for the remainder of the race as Ruggiero continued to fall on the leaderboards. Heim began his climb upwards.

Heim closed the gap on Queen, reaching his back bumper as they approached the final lap. During a last-ditch effort in Turn 3, Heim attempted to overtake but unfortunately could not capture the victory, allowing Queen to secure his third win of 2025, winning by just 0.313 seconds.

“I have so much respect for (Heim) and Gio (Ruggiero),” Queen said following the hard-fought battle between the two TRICON Garage teammates in the Truck Series. “I knew I was going to have to hold off Heim Time there, but it’s Bean Nation time tonight!”

Heim, who drove an incredible race all day, took a bit to find the proper balance to potentially get around Queen for the victory.

“Our cars were very equal, so I think [it came down to] track position. Not having run one of these things in a long time, it’s tough to dial that in. That last run was by far our best. We sort of struggled with it for the first two stints. The No. 28 (Queen) was quick, and Butterbean did a tremendous job as well.”

Queen is well-known for his dominance in the zMAX CARS Tour and on short tracks throughout the East Coast of the United States. He has achieved all of his victories at tracks that are longer than a mile, including wins at Daytona, Kansas, and most recently, Michigan.

“I’m representing all my guys back at Langley (Speedway). They work so hard. It started back in Legends cars with Phil Warren helping me, then going to Lee Pulliam’s team. I’m super proud of this Pinnacle Racing Group. This win goes to these guys and everyone else back at the shop.”

The rest of the top 5 following Queen and Heim came with Lawless Alan in third, Ruggiero in fourth, and Lavar Scott in fifth.

Thad Moffitt, Tyler Reif, Jason Kitzmiller, Isabella Robusto, and Eloy Falcon rounded out the top 10.

As the ARCA Menards Series gears up for another trip to the state of Michigan to the iconic Berlin Raceway next week, Queen takes back the championship points lead by six points over Scott.
