After spending the last two seasons as the full-time driver of the No. 45 Chevrolet Silverado in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Lawless Alan will not be returning to Niece Motorsports in 2024, a representative from the team confirmed to TobyChristie.com.

The 23-year-old driver first joined forces with the multi-truck outfit at the end of the 2021 season, driving the No. 45 Chevrolet in four of the final six NASCAR Truck Series events, recording a best finish of 18th place at Bristol Motor Speedway.

For the season that followed, Alan was selected as the full-time driver of the Niece Motorsports entry, marking the first full-season campaign for the Van Nuys, California-native in NASCAR’s National Series.

Alan would retain his position within the organization for two seasons, where he was able to put together three finishes inside the top-15 during a two-year tenure, which included a career-best 10th-place run at Talladega Superspeedway in October 2023.

Despite the parting of ways between Alan and Niece Motorsports, the organization says that the No. 45 Chevrolet Silverado will compete full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2024 — with driver, sponsor, and personnel announcements coming at a later date.

In addition to the No. 45 Chevrolet Silverado running on a full-time basis in 2024, the organization has previously announced that Bayley Currey (No. 41) and Matt Mills (No. 42) will each compete full-time in the NASCAR Truck Series in 2024.

The No. 45 is significant for Niece Motorsports in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, with the organization utilizing the number upon debuting in 2018, as well as being the first number to visit victory lane with Ross Chastain at Kansas Speedway in 2019.
