Video: Brexton Busch Flips in Tulsa Shootout Junior Sprint A-Feature

Brexton Busch, son of NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Busch, was the second member of the family to take a spill this week at the Tulsa Expo Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The eight-year-old driver had just taken the green flag for the Flying A Motorsports Junior Sprint A-Feature when a pair of cars made contact while battling for third place, coming up the racetrack into the path of Busch.

Driving the No. 18B, Busch would then make significant contact with the outside wall on the backstretch, causing his vehicle to turn upside down and do a full revolution end-over-end before coming to rest on its wheels.

Not only was Busch alright after a nasty-looking accident, but the Mooresville, North Carolina-native could continue in the event, where he came home in 12th-place of the 20 drivers that started the feature event.

It’s been an interesting week for the Busch family, as far as on-track performance is concerned at the Tulsa Shootout, with Brexton’s father, a two-time champion and 63-time winner in the NASCAR Cup Series, suffering a similar fate on Friday when competing in the Non-Stock Wing Class — although, he wasn’t able to finish his race.

Needless to say, though, barring some good results in the eleventh hour, both Kyle and Brexton Busch are going to be happy to return home to North Carolina after a long week of racing in Oklahoma.
