Martin Truex, Jr. and Brad Keselowski sustained some damage after the end of the first stage, ater making some contact under the caution flag.

NASCAR Cup Series Playoff drivers Martin Truex, Jr. and Brad Keselowski have sustained damage to their vehicles, which could alter their afternoons in the AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400 at Texas Motor Speedway.

But, this incident is pretty strange, happening under the caution displayed at the end of the race’s first stage. Both Truex and Keselowski have lost track position, after coming to pit road to check the damage.

When the first stage was complete, the front half of the field slowed down for the caution, but not everybody did so at the same time, causing Keselowski in the No. 6 Ford Mustang to barrel into the rear-end of Martin Truex, Jr.

The No. 19 Bass Pro Shops Toyota Camry TRD had significant damage, and a flat tire, requiring Truex to limp it back to the pits rather slowly. Meanwhile, the front-end of the BuildSubmarines.com Ford suffered some damage.

Both drivers were able to continue in the event without any major obstructions in performance, leaving them to continue to fight for their NASCAR Cup Series Playoff life.
