Wawa, the presenting sponsor of Friday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Daytona International Speedway, will increase its brand activation for the event by serving as the primary sponsor of four entries in the Wawa 250 Presented by Coca-Cola.

The company, based in Wawa, Pennsylvania, will have four paint schemes on track at the 2.5-mile superspeedway to promote its new line of Recharger energy drinks, with each paint scheme inspired by a different flavor.

“We are thrilled to enhance our continued partnership with NASCAR and support one of the Xfinity Series’ most anticipated events with a special sponsorship of four very talented drivers! We look forward to fueling the energy and excitement of this one-of-a-kind superspeedway race with the colors and themes of our new line of Recharger energy drinks,” said Jim Morey, Chief Marketing and Brand Officer for Wawa. “These new drinks match the level of energy and drive that the sport of NASCAR and these drivers, crews, teams, and, of course, fans display during these great events.”

Natalie Decker, driving the No. 53 Ford Mustang for Emerling-Gase Motorsports, carries the spirit and flair of the Mermaid Recharger, as the only female driver on the track for Friday’s event.

“Just like the mythical mermaid, we’re diving deep into this race with grace and determination,” said Decker. “Daytona under the lights is mesmerizing, much like the allure of the deep sea. Racing at the world’s racing capital is always a dream, and with Wawa’s Mermaid Recharger by our side, we’re aiming to make some waves.”

Brett Moffitt, the full-time driver of the No. 25 Ford Mustang for AM Racing, will carry the heat of the Dragon Burst Recharger. With the post-season coming up quickly, a victory in Friday’s Wawa 250 could lock him into the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs.

“The Dragon Burst Recharger is all about fiery energy, and that’s exactly what we’re bringing to Daytona,” Moffitt said. “I’m on the edge, needing this win to burst into the playoffs. Racing under Daytona’s lights is electrifying, and with the power of the dragon, we’re ready to soar and claim victory.”

Joe Graf, Jr., who scored a top-10 earlier this year in the season-opener at Daytona, will return to the driver’s seat of the No. 38 Ford Mustang for RSS Racing, carrying the colors of the Galaxy Recharger.

“Being from New Jersey, I’m thrilled to represent Wawa at Daytona this weekend,” said Joe Graf, Jr. “I’m going to use the energy of the Galaxy Recharger and the cosmic alliance of one of my favorite brands and one of my favorite tracks to power through to a solid finish.”

Finally, JJ Yeley will make his first NASCAR Xfinity Series start of the year at Daytona, driving the No. 07 Chevrolet Camaro for SS Green Light Racing. Yeley, who will also compete in Saturday’s Cup Series event, as well, will represent the Island Surf Recharger.

“Pulling double duty at Daytona is always a rush, much like catching the perfect wave,” Yeley said. “With the refreshing spirit of the Island Surf Recharger, I’m ready to ride the tide of excitement. Daytona under the lights? It’s a surfer’s dream of speed and rhythm at the world’s racing capital.”

The Wawa 250 at Daytona International Speedway will take place on Friday, August 25th at 7:00 PM ET on USA Network. With only 38 cars entered, Decker, Moffitt, Yeley, and Graf are all locked into the 100-lap contest.
