William Byron and the No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports team put in another solid effort in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Go Bowling at The Glen, and the driver and team walked away with their fifth triumph of the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season.

Byron, who led a race-high 66 laps, was officially named the winner of the race by NASCAR following post-race inspection. According to NASCAR, there were no issues in post-race tech, which means all results and standings following Sunday’s race are now considered official.

The 25-year-old Byron now has nine wins in NASCAR Cup Series competition throughout the course of his career.

Denny Hamlin, who sits 39 points behind Martin Truex Jr. for the regular season championship heading into Daytona, was the official runner-up finisher at Watkins Glen on Sunday.

Christopher Bell, AJ Allmendinger, and Ty Gibbs rounded out the top-five finishers.

Brad Keselowski (15th), and Kevin Harvick (21st) have officially clinched their place in the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs with Byron’s win on Sunday.
